We are all weaved together as the human race
We affect one another through our deeds and the words we say
We’re not islands although innately unique
We’re all coexisting in the habitat of humanity
We are all weaved together by one Creator
Who made us all to be equal as our common denominator
When we turn our backs on others’ suffering and just look away
We turn our backs on ourselves and our fellow being we betray
When did our eyes think that their purpose was to judge
Our eyes must seek to understand and also seek to love
We must use our mouths to speak for those who can’t
And our ears to listen to those who just need a friend or confidante
Words are brilliant but actions spur us on all the more
They are the life behind the text that you implore
Be known as a builder of people and at the end of your life
You’ll see generations that are left renewed and revived.
